INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – The OUAZ women's tennis team saw its season come to an end with their 5-0 loss against Arizona Christian in the quarterfinals of the GSAC Tournament on Tuesday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
OUAZ completes its second season with a 4-16 overall record and they went 3-9 in the first season as a member of the GSAC to earn the No. 6 seed for the tournament.
Arizona Christian (10-12) won all three doubles points to force the Spirit to need to go 5-1 in singles action to win the match.

Julia Ortiz nearly earned the Spirit a doubles point before falling in the No. 1 match, 7-9.
The Firestorm would win the first two completed matches of singles play to clinch the victory, 5-0. Once the match was clinched, the remaining matches were then halted. Ortiz was winning the No. 1 match, 6-0, 1-0 when it was called. ACU had leads in all other matches.
