The OUAZ women's basketball team got back on the court on Saturday, as they got an opportunity to sharpen their skills against Division I opponent Utah Valley. While the outcome was not what the Spirit were looking for, they were able to get valuable game experience on Saturday.

The Spirit trailed 25-11 at the end of the first quarter, and they could never dig out of that hole, as Utah Valley took the 99-50 win on Saturday. The Wolverines had five players scored in double-digits in the contest.
Kirsten Shinske led the Spirt in points, scoring 19 points. Kate Sokolova added 12 points, all three-point field goals. Sokolova shot 4-7 from behind the arc.

Natasa Radovic had a good effort on the glass, as she grabbed seven rebounds on the afternoon. Mai'Zhrae Zeno also had four rebounds, and every player to get on the court for OUAZ had at least one rebound.

The Spirit will have one more tune-up before conference play, as it comes on Monday against NCAA Division I opponent UC-Santa Barbara. Tip-off for the contest is scheduled for 8pm MST.
