Box Score PALO VERDES, Calif. – The OUAZ women's soccer team closed out their trip to California with a 2-0 win over Marymount California on Monday afternoon.
OUAZ (4-2) went ahead in the 36th minute after
Crystal Carroll finished on a feed from
Keana Barrow. The first goal of the season from Carroll was also her first career game-winner.
The Spirit were able to maintain the 1-0 lead into halftime. They added an insurance goal in the 66th minute with a strike from
Paige Murray-Hernandez for her first goal of the season.

OUAZ scored its two goals from the five shots they put on goal. Both teams had seven total shots in the game and Marymount (0-3) took the game's lone corner.
Carroll and
Kaitlyn Kelsey were the only two Spirit players with multiple shots in the game – two each – with Carroll putting both of hers on target.
Krysten Caballeros made her first career start in goal and used two saves to record the shutout victory.
OUAZ will now return home where they open a three-game home stand on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. against Providence Christian College.
