Coming off of a winning streak at the Siena Heights Tournament in Adrian, MI., the Spirit were up for this game against the Concordia University Irvine Eagles. In game one the Spirit were able to jump ahead using their strong serving and the Eagles' errors. CUI made moves to narrow the score, but the Spirit held on to win the game 25-18.

In game two the Eagles took back the control jumping ahead and executing their offense well. The Spirit made a move at point 15 narrowing the score to only a five-point lead, but Concordia was able to hold on and win the second set 25-18. Game three followed the example of game two with the Eagles commanding the game to win 25-15 and take the game into set four.

In the final set of the match, the Eagles took the early lead, but the Spirit used strong serving and powerful offense to take a four-point lead. Both teams would battle for the momentum and the lead, but the Eagles would use a couple of errors from OUAZ to take the final lead and win the game 25-23.

The Spirit dominated the game with six aces to CUI's three but were out-blocked by the Eagles. Chris Brown led both sides in assists with 40 and Bryan Ilena and Kory Peterson led the game with twelve kills each.

The Spirit finish their season on the road at the University of Saint Katherine March 30th and 31st in San Marcos, CA.
