PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Ottawa University Arizona men's tennis team fell on Saturday afternoon to Lewis-Clark State College by a final of 7-2 at the Phoenix Tennis Center.
With the loss Saturday, the Spirit fall to 0-6 on the season.
Saturday's action got started with doubles' play. The #1 duo of
Noel Maurin and
Leonardo Couto won the match by a final of 8-6. The Spirit lost #2 and #3 doubles by finals of 8-5 and 8-4, to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead heading into singles play.
OUAZ'sÂ
Andrew Noblett won the #3 singles match by finals of 6-2, 6-2. The Warriors then claimed the other five singles matches to win the entire match by a final of 7-2.
OUAZÂ returns to action this Friday, when they host Connecticut College at 10am this Friday at the Surprise Tennis Facility.
