Women’s Soccer Falls in Regular Season Finale

SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to The Master's University on Saturday afternoon in the final game of the regular season.
 
The loss by OUAZ (11-5-2, 3-3-2 GSAC) marks the first time this season they have dropped consecutive games and they are now winless in their last four outings.
 
The Master's (12-5-1, 5-3-0) scored the only goal of the game in the 68th minute when Kyndel Borman finished a pass from Sierra Carrasco to the bottom right of the goal.
 
In the game, OUAZ took six total shots with only two of those attempts on goal. The visiting Mustangs took 11 shots with eight in target.
 
Keana Barrow had three shots and her and Mariah McDuffy had the team's only shots on goal.
 
Emily Kriplean made seven saves in defeat for the Spirit.
 
OUAZ ends its first season in the GSAC in fifth-place and would have qualified for the conference tournament if they were eligible. The Spirit will compete in the NCCAA postseason with those details to be announced in the coming days.
