SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ men's soccer team was handed a 2-0 loss at home to Westmont College on Thursday night in a Golden State Athletic Conference game at Spirit Field.
OUAZ (11-4-1, 3-3-1 GSAC) had few scoring chances in the game with just three of their five total shots being on goal. Westmont (8-5-2, 4-3-0) took nine shots and had eight on goal to earn the win.
Jeremiah Anderson scored both goals for the Warriors, getting his first in the 23rd minute and then adding a second in the 51st minute.
The Spirit's five shots came from five different players.
Mauricio Ochoa, Christian Gennaro, and
Ricardo Navarro were credited with the team's shots on goal.
Yuri Nascimento made six saves in goal for OUAZ.
The Spirit will close the regular season on Saturday when they host The Master's. First touch at Spirit Field is scheduled for 3 p.m.
