"I was impressed with how they worked together," commented Head Coach Kristin Steele, "especially with the new lineups that we've thrown at them. I wish we could have won, that would have been huge for morale, but there has been vast improvement in their effort and play." Assistant Coach Tyler Jenkins followed up with this, "It was a pretty good day! The girls really competed well in that last match so it was a good end to a good day."
Match one of the tournament OUAZ had an easy win over the Warriors of SAGU American Indian College, beating them soundly in three sets. Match two of the day started out much more difficult. The fifth set started with Ottawa gaining points early and a battle through the rest of the game with both sides creating a tied score three times during the set until the Sea Beggars pulled away at the end to win the set and the match, 15-11.
