PASADENA, Calif. - The OUAZ men's soccer team picked up the program's first victory on Saturday afternoon, with a 6-0 shutout win at Providence Christian College in Pasadena, California.

With the victory, the OUAZ Spirit claim their first victory in program history and move to 1-1 overall. With the loss, Providence Christian College falls to 2-1 overall.

The Spirit hopped on the scoreboard first on Saturday afternoon, striking in the game's second minute, when Ricardo Navarro (FR/Inglewood, CA) found the back of the net to put OUAZ up 1-0. The Spirit never looked back, as they added their second tally of the evening in the 14thminute, when Navarro found Mauricio Ochoa (FR/Elk Grove, CA) to put OUAZ ahead a 2-0. The Spirit added a third goal, thanks to a pass from Omar Centeno (SO/Los Angeles, CA) to Samuel George(FR/Sittingbourne, England) to put OUAZ ahead at 3-0 headed into halftime.

In the second half, the story remained the same for OUAZ. The Spirit would tack on three more goals to claim the 6-0 victory. In the second half, Ricardo Navarro added his second goal of the match, and Eduardo Soriano III (FR/Las Vegas, NV) and Andric McGill(FR/McPherson, KS) both added a goal each in the win.

Antony Siaha (SO/Yaounde, Cameroon) picked up the win in goal, playing 83 plus minutes, while pitching a shutout and stopping the one shot on goal he faced.

Overall, OUAZ outshot Providence Christian College 26-7, with 18 of the shots being on goal; to just one for the Sea Beggars.

OUAZ returns to action on Monday, when they travel to face Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, California. The Spirit men will get things started at 7pm, with the women's match to precede them at 5pm.
