OUAZ Athletics

A two-time NAIA Women’s Water Polo National Champion, Rachel Hughes graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ) with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Leadership and a minor in Communication, completing her degree in just three and a half years.

During her time at OUAZ, she excelled both in the classroom and in the pool, earning academic and athletic honors while playing a key role in the success of the women’s water polo program. Her passion for the sport also extends into coaching, with experience working with South Coast Aquatics, a competitive water polo club in Southern California.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Leadership, she is committed to developing the skills necessary to impact teams and organizations through purpose-driven leadership and communication. Her goal is to continue building a career in athletics where she can empower student-athletes and contribute to the growth of collegiate sports.
