OUAZ came out on the front foot and grabbed an early advantage behind a pair of first-half goals. Harry Dwelly opened the scoring in the 12th minute, and Marcos Chavez doubled the lead just six minutes later to give the Spirit a 2-0 cushion.

Arizona Christian responded quickly, however, finding two goals before halftime to erase the deficit and send the match into the break tied at 2-2. The opening 45 minutes featured a physical battle between the conference rivals, with both teams collecting multiple cautions.

The Spirit continued to push for a go-ahead goal early in the second half, but the Firestorm defense held firm and gradually shifted momentum in their favor. Arizona Christian broke the deadlock in the 61st minute before adding insurance goals in the 71st and 77th minutes to pull away for the conference victory.

Despite the result, OUAZ remained active offensively throughout the evening. The Spirit registered 17 shots and consistently challenged the Arizona Christian defense but were unable to capitalize on enough opportunities to keep pace with the Firestorm attack.

Defensively, the Spirit faced sustained pressure from an Arizona Christian squad that finished with 21 shots and converted five goals. The late scoring surge proved to be the difference as OUAZ suffered its second conference loss of the season.
