Across both matches, the Spirit demonstrated consistency, depth, and composure in key moments, earning victories against two respected opponents.
Game 1 - #1 OUAZ vs. #5 ACU
In the first match of the day, the Spirit faced a highly anticipated GSAC matchup between No. 1 OUAZ and No. 5 ACU. The Spirit controlled the dual from start to finish. Eliana Dean and Maya Blake opened the match with a two-set win, setting the tone early. Shayna Martinez and Railey Dykstra followed with another decisive victory, while Katy Shockey and Alicia Romero added to the lead with a clean two-set performance. Leah John and Gabriela Corrales kept the momentum rolling, and Shea Marovich and Julianne Hemphill sealed the win with a dominant straight-sets exhibition win to secure the team victory.
