Surprise, Ariz. — The OUAZ Spirit men's basketball team battled The Master's Mustangs in a tightly contested matchup that remained competitive from start to finish. With both teams trading baskets and momentum throughout the game, the outcome was decided in the closing moments as the Spirit narrowly fell short.

1st half (36-38): The opening half was neck and neck, with neither team able to gain an advantage. Tyran Simpson led the Spirit with 12 points and 3 rebounds, while Carter Gittens contributed across the stat sheet with 5 points, 6 rebounds, and an impressive 4 blocks. Max Nkpa added 5 rebounds as OUAZ matched The Master's possession for possession heading into halftime.

2nd half (79-80): The same intensity carried into the second half, as the game remained tight down to the final seconds.
