OUAZ Honors Seniors, Find Playoff Positioning

SURPRISE, ARIZ. – Seemingly every GSAC Tournament scenario was up for grabs on Saturday, as six teams were battling for seeding heading into the postseason next week. OUAZ had the opportunity to get a first-round bye in the conference tournament, but a loss to Hope International on Saturday guarantees the Spirit will play on Thursday.

In fact, OUAZ will play in the first game next Thursday, as they will match up with the fourth seed William Jessup Warriors. The Spirit and Warriors met in the championship game of the GSAC Tournament two seasons ago, where OUAZ captured its first conference championship, as well as its first trip to the NAIA National Tournament.

McKay Bundy was the Spirit's leading scorer on Saturday, as he finished with 20 points on 58.3% shooting. Bundy also pulled in eight rebounds, and blocked a pair of shots on the defensive end.

Jacob Henry had a great all-around afternoon, scoring 13 points and dishing out eight assists. Henry also had six rebounds, all on the defensive end.

The 2024 GSAC Tournament will be hosted by Hope International in Fullerton, Calif. Learn more at the tournament by clicking here.
