Box Score Surprise, ARIZ.- The Spirit get their eighth defensive shutout on the season as they beat Life Pacific (1-12 Overall, 0-9 Conference) 4-0. The win puts the Spirit at 6-4-4 on the year and 3-4-3 in conference play.
The Spirit struck first in the 16th minute of play with a goal by Ingram Kusaloka (Sixth of the Season), assisted by Joey Vega and Jamaine Turner. Kusaloka got his second goal of the game in the 37th minute (Seventh on the Season), assisted by Ethan Nailberg. The Spirit would shut down the Warrior's offense to go into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
The Spirit started the second half with a goal by Jamaine Turner (Seventh of the Season) in the 48th minute, unassisted. Turner would then add his second goal of the game (Eighth on the Season) in the 55th minute of action, assisted by Zen Courtois and Joey Vega. The Spirit defense was on display as well as they shut down the Warriors' offense for a final score of 4-0.

The Spirit will go into next week with two crucial games against GSAC opponents, starting with a road game against The Master's (6-5-2 OVR, 6-1-2 GSAC) on Thursday, October 24th at 11am. OUAZ will then come back home for a game Embry Riddle (4-4-5 OVR, 4-2-3 GSAC) on Saturday October 26th at 2pm. Saturday will be Senior Day for the Spirit, so come out and support your seniors!
