Box Score Surprise, ARIZ.- The Spirit gave four second half goals, after gaining a 2-0 first half lead, in loss to Hope International (8-3-2 Overall, 4-2-2 Conference) in the 4-2 loss. The loss puts the Spirit at 5-4-4 on the year and 2-4-3 in conference play.
The Spirit started the scoring in the 11th minute of play with a goal by Kael Kortz (First of the Season), assisted by Aleem Barclay and Jamaine Turner. OUAZ scored again in the 26th minute with a goal by Pablo Vasquez (First of the Season), assisted by Joey Vega. The Spirit's defense was on point in the first half with five saves as they shut the Royals out 2-0.
The second half started as a defensive battle until the 70th minute when Hope International scored. The goal was by Andy Cabrera (Fifth of the Season), unassisted. The Royals scored exactly five minutes later with a goal by Berlin Torres (First of the Season) in the 75th minute, unassisted. Hope International would score their third straight of the half in the 81st minute by Erick Cabrera (First on the Season), assisted by Andy Cabrera. Another goal would be scored by Hope International when the Spirit had a shot on their own goal in the 86th minute.
