Spirit Swimmer Jonathan Cowin was able to continue his sophomore season by participating in the NAIA Swimming & Diving Championship last Friday and Saturday at the Columbus Aquatic Center in Georgia.
The lone OUAZ qualifier, Cowin posted a best time in the 100 fly placing 18th with a time of 50.33. He beat his previous best time by eight tenths of a second. In the second event he qualified to be in (100 back), he placed 11th with a time of 51.11. Â During prelims for this event, he tapped the wall at 50.87, a season best.
"I'm very proud how he performed on the biggest stage for us," noted Spirit head coach Brendan Nguyen. "This is a great way to end what was already a solid season for him."
