The OUAZ Spirit faced the Hope International University (HIU) Royals in a tightly contested match which ended in a 1-0 victory for the Royals.

Both teams had their share of shots: OUAZ (6-6-2, 0-4 GSAC) had 10 shots with five on target, while HIU (11-2-1, 3-1 GSAC) managed eight shots with two on target. The goalkeepers played a pivotal role, with Hope's keeper making five saves and Yu-Liang Chu collecting one save.

Corner kicks were five for HIU and three for OUAZ. The game saw a total of 21 fouls, with Hope International committing 12 and OUAZ committing nine.

The OUAZ Spirit will look to improve their record in their upcoming road trip as they take on Life Pacific and The Master's University on October 19 and 21 respectively.
