SURPRISE, ARIZONA - The OUAZ Men's basketball team (14-6 overall and 7-4 GSAC) plays it final games of January at Hope International (Thursday, Jan. 26^th) and San Diego Christian (Saturday, Jan. 28^th). In the two series, the Spirit have won two of the last three against Hope and nine straight versus SDC.
 
Tip off at Hope is 8:30 pm (MST), while the San Diego Christian game will start 5 pm (MST). Both can be seen via live stream.
 
The Race is On
OUAZ is currently in a three-way tie for second in the GSAC standings with Hope International and The Masters. All three are 7-4 in conference action, one game behind Arizona Christian. After this week, the Spirit will have three of its final five games at home, including the regular season finale against ACU.
 
Ranking
This week OUAZ received 74 votes in the fifth edition of the NAIA Coaches Top 25 poll, and technically ranks 26^th. Arizona Christian (4^th) is the only other GSAC school mentioned in the poll.
 
Streaking
OUAZ has won nine of its last 10 games overall and two straight coming into action this weekend. With the GSAC race still up for grabs, the Spirit looks to extend its six-game road win streak and stay in contention for the regular season championship.

Josiah De'laCerda

• Leads the team in scoring (17.8 ppg) and rebounds (7.0 rpg). Stands fifth in the GSAC in scoring and fourth in rebounds.

•  Took over as the Spirit all-time career scorer a few weeks ago (1,144 career points) is also the all-time leader in rebounds with 466 heading into the week.

Keshawn Bruner

• Ranks as the 8th best scorer in the league (15.4 ppg)
• With 674 points, he's now 6^th on the all-time scoring list at OUAZ, 56 shy of Kam Malbrough who recorded 730 between 2020-2022
