Swim Opens New Season at NAU Dual

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The OUAZ men's & women's swimming teams opened the new season on Friday at the Northern Arizona Duals held at the Wall Aquatic Center.

Jonathan Cowin won the three races he entered to lead the Spirit men. He hit the NAIA preliminary time in the 100 Backstroke by finishing in 53.52 seconds. Cowin also went 2:04.75 to win the 200 Backstroke and 55.12 in the 100 Butterfly.

Jack Bullard won the 50 Freestyle in 22.86 seconds, while Dexter Stewart went 1:54.32 to win the 200 Freestyle.

Kayden Brendel led the OUAZ women with times of 26.88 seconds in the 50 Freestyle and 1:01.09 in the 100 Freestyle.
