PHOENIX – Six players scored in double figures as the OUAZ men's basketball team picked up its first win of the season with a 104-69 defeat of SAGU American Indian College on Friday night.
OUAZ is now 1-1 through the first two games of the season for the second time in program history.
Dimetres Moore led the Spirit on Friday with 20 points. This is his second 20-point outing of the season and the seventh of his career. Moore scored 14 of the team's 58 first-half points.
Shazier Lawson added 15 points while
Maxwell Moses added 14.
Marcus Williams hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points.
The Spirit will now get set for the most anticipated game in program history when they open their new on-campus home, Faith Arena, on Saturday night at 7 p.m. versus Embry-Riddle.
