OUAZ MEN'S BASKETBALL NOTES
• After starting the season last Saturday, the OUAZ men's basketball team returns to action this week with a pair of games. OUAZ will first head across the valley to play SAGU American Indian College on Friday at 7 p.m. The Spirit will then play their first-ever home game on-campus when they officaily open Faith Arena on Saturday at 7 p.m. against Embry-Riddle.
• OUAZ starts the week with an 0-1 overall record and 0-1 in road games. They finished 5-23 last season while going 3-9 at home and 2-10 on the road.
• The Spirit are 3-0 all-time against SAGU, including a 104-95 road win in last season's meeting.
• Embry-Riddle has won each of the two meetings all-time with the Spirit and earned a 79-54 win last season in Surprise.

• OUAZ scored 94 points in the season opener at Benedictine Mesa. That is the eighth-most points in a game in team history.
• The Spirit made 13 of 20 from beyond the arc on Saturday to set a new school record for 3-point field goal percentage at 65.0 percent. The 13 made threes are fifth-most in program history.

Dimetres Moore led team team with 26 points for his sixth career 20-point outing. His 10 of 19 shooting included 4 of 5 from beyond the arc.

Marcus Williams added 23 points and was 7 of 10 from three. His seven threes are one shy of the school record.

Shazier Lawson made his OUAZ debut with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds.
