Head Coach Cheer and Dance Melanie Nemerguth

Melanie Nemerguth joined OUAZ as the head cheer and dance coach in the 2017 for the inaugural season.

Melanie Nemerguth has a background in studio dance and has been a studio dance instructor for more than five years. In 2015, Nemerguth was a cheerleader for the former St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL). In 2016, Nemerguth made the Arizona Cardinals' cheerleading team, and continues as a member of the team. Coach Nemerguth will cheer at all ten home games (preseason and regular season), along with any postseason games and special events.

"I am excited to be given the opportunity to build the OUAZ cheer and dance program," said Nemerguth. "I would like to thank Director of Athletics Kevin Steele, for inviting me to join the OUAZ family as we embark on this adventure."

Nemerguth continued, "I want to grow in talent, size, and passion; not only each year, but each and every day. I want to take these teams to a National Championship within their career at OUAZ. Most of all, I want to share with them an unforgettable experience with gifts of lifetime friendships and memories."

Most recently, Nemerguth worked as the Social Media/HR Manager at Cardinals Management Group. She is also a current dance instructor at Bling Tour LLC in Surprise. Nemerguth was a graduate assistant cheer coach at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.

Nemerguth was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Her father works for ECI in St. Louis and her mother is a retired elementary school teacher. Nemerguth currently resides in Peoria.
